Het ondersteunen van ondernemers in de film- en media-industrie is een belangrijk onderdeel van het opbouwen van een creatieve innovatiesector die werkgelegenheid genereert en het toerisme ondersteunt waar de film wordt gemaakt en geproduceerd.
Award-winning Hawaii filmmaker Vilsoni (“Vili”) Hereniko is teaming up with Australian producer Trish Lake (“Early Winter”), and New Zealand producer Catherine Fitzgerald (“The Orator”) to coproduce “Until the Dolphin Flies.” Production of the motion picture will begin in early 2018.
With a cast and crew that will stay within the islands as filming takes place, Hawaii’s tourism industry will also benefit when they dine out, stay in hotels, rent cars, and take tours.
And there’s the indirect benefit of having the islands of Hawaii forever captured as the backdrop for the film.
